SIGN OF THE CROSS

OPENING PRAYER

[Ⱥ] God, Eternal Loving Father, whose only begotten Son by his life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech you, that meditating upon these mysteries in the most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise through Jesus Christ our Lord. | Amen.

APOSTLES’ CREED

[Ⱥ] I believe in God, | the Father almighty, | creator of heaven and earth, | and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, | who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, | born of the Virgin Mary, | suffered under Pontius Pilate, | was crucified, died and was buried; | he descended into hell; | on the third day he rose again from the dead; | he ascended into heaven, | and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; | from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. | I believe in the Holy Spirit, | the Holy Catholic Church, | the communion of saints, | the forgiveness of sins, | the resurrection of the body, | and life everlasting. | Amen.

CONCLUDING PRAYERS
FOR SOULS IN PURGATORY

[℣] Dear Jesus, Loving Saviour, through your Sorrowful Passion and the Precious Blood that you shed for us sinners, we ask you to have mercy on the Holy Souls in Purgatory, particularly on our dearly departed family, relatives, friends and all those souls who have no one to pray for them. Complete the healing of their purification and let them enjoy and participate fully in your Salvation. [℟] Sweet Jesus grant them eternal rest and let perpetual light shine upon them.

CLOSING PRAYER

[℣] Pour forth we beseech you, Almighty Father, your grace into our hearts, that we to whom the incarnation of your Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by his passion and cross be brought to the glory of his resurrection. [℟] We ask this through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

HAIL HOLY QUEEN

[Ⱥ] Hail Holy Queen, | Mother of mercy, | hail our life, our sweetness and our hope. | To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; | to you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. | Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy towards us | and after this, our exile, | show us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. | O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

[℣] Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. [℟] That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

[℣] Let us pray.

[Ⱥ] Grant, we beseech you, O Heavenly Father, | that we, your servants, may enjoy perpetual health of mind and body; | and by the intercession of the Blessed Mary, ever Virgin, | may be delivered from present sorrow, | and obtain eternal joy. | We ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord. | Amen.
