LORD’S PRAYER

[℣] Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your WILL be done on earth, as it is in Heaven. [℟] Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

HAIL MARY (3x)

[℣] Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. [℟] Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

1^st Day: FAITH

PRAYER FOR FAITH

Psalm [27:7-14]

Hear my voice, O Lord, when I cry out to you. Have mercy on me and answer me. My heart has spoken to you; my face has sought you. I yearn for your face, O Lord. Do not turn your face away from me. In your wrath, do not turn away from your servant. Be my helper.

Do not abandon me, and do not despise me, O God, my Savior. For my father and mother may abandon me, but you Lord has taken care of me. O Lord teach me in your way and guide me in the right path.

Do not abandon me to those who trouble me with their lies and threats. I believe that I shall see the blessings of the Lord in this present life. Wait for the Lord do not despair; and have faith and remain with the Lord.

ACT OF CONTRITITION

O God, Eternal Loving Father, I am deeply sorry for having offended you by not fully submitting to you, my Savior, in complete faith. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance, and do not allow that I should fall into sin ever again. From now on, I shall love and trust you above all things. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

2^nd Day: HOPE

PRAYER FOR HOPE

Psalm [71:1-6] In you, O Lord, I have hoped; do not let me be defeated. Free me and rescue me by your justice. Listen to me and save me. Be my protection and the fortress of my strength, so that you may accomplish my salvation. Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the sinner, and from the hand of the unjust and those who act against your law. For you, O Lord, are my patience: my hope from my youth, O Lord. In you, I have been sustained from conception. From my mother’s womb, you are my protector. I will sing your praise forever.

ACT OF CONTRITITION

O God, Eternal Loving Father, I am deeply sorry for having offended you; you who are my only hope of salvation. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance, and do not allow that I should fall into sin ever again. From now on I shall rest my hope on you alone, my God, for victory over my sinful nature. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

3^rd Day: LOVE

PRAYER FOR LOVE

Psalm [36:5-10] Lord, your mercy is in heaven, and your truth reaches to the clouds. Your justice is like the lofty mountains. Your judgments are a great abyss. Men and beasts, you will save, O Lord. How precious is you love, O God! And so, the sons of men will hope under the cover of your wings. They will be inebriated with the fruitfulness of your house, and you will give them to drink from the torrent of your pleasures. For with you is the fountain of life; and within your light, we will see the light. Extend your love to those who know you, and your justice to these, who are upright in heart.

ACT OF CONTRITITION

O God, Eternal Loving Father, I am deeply sorry for having offended you and by my sins I have offended the eternal love that you have for me. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance, and do not allow that I should fall into sin ever again. From now on, I shall love you and my neighbor as you have commanded. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

4^th Day: MERCY

PRAYER FOR MERCY

Psalm [51:1-4] Be merciful to me, O God, according to your great mercy. And, according to your abundant compassion, wipe out my transgressions. Wash me once again from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you only have I sinned, and I have done evil before your eyes. And so, you are justified in your verdict, and you will prevail when you give judgment.

ACT OF CONTRITITION

O God, Eternal Loving Father, I am deeply sorry for I have sinned and done evil before your eyes, Lord have mercy. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance, and do not allow that I should fall into sin again. From now on, I shall cherish your mercy and be merciful to others. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

5^th Day: TRUTH

PRAYER FOR TRUTH

Psalm [25:4-7,11]

O Yahweh show me your paths and teach me your ways. Guide me and teach me your truth. For you are God, my Savior, and I trust you all day long. O God, remember you have always been compassionate and merciful. Do not remember the offenses of my youth and my foolishness. Remember me according to your mercy, for the sake of your goodness, O God. Because of your name you will pardon my terrible sins.

ACT OF CONTRITITION

O God, Eternal Loving Father, I am deeply sorry for all my sins; forgive my terrible sins according to your compassion and mercy. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance, and do not allow that I should fall into sin ever again. From now on I shall follow the path of truth that you have shown me. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

6^th Day: GOODNESS

PRAYER FOR GOODNESS

Psalm [106:1-5]

Alleluia. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy lasts forever. Who will express the powers of the Lord? Who can declare all his praises? Blessed are those who do justice all the time. Remember us, O Lord, with good will for your people. Visit us with your salvation, so that we may see the goodness of your elect, so that we may rejoice in the joy of your nation, so that you may be praised along with your inheritance.

O God, Eternal Loving Father, I am deeply sorry for having offended your gracious goodness. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance, and do not allow that I should fall into sin ever again. From now on I shall praise your goodness and mercy for all the days of my life.Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

7^th Day: HOLINESS

PRAYER FOR HOLINESS

Psalm [30:1-6]

I will enthusiastically praise you, Lord, for you have lifted me up, and you have not allowed my enemies to delight over me. O Lord my God, I have cried out to you, and you have healed me. Lord, you led my soul away from Hell. You have saved me from those who descend into the pit. Sing a song of praise to the Lord, you his saints, and confess with remembrance of his holiness. For his wrath is but for an instant, and his will is for life. Weeping will linger for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

O God, Eternal Loving Father, I am deeply sorry for having offended your holiness buy my grave sins. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance, and do not allow that I should fall into sin ever again. From now on I will strive to be holy according to your will. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

8^th Day: PRAISE

PRAYER OF PRAISE

Psalm [69:29-34]

I am poor and sorrowful, but your salvation, O God, has taken me up on high. I will praise the name of God with a song, and I will magnify him with praise. And this will please God more than a new calf which has horns and hoofs. Let the poor see and rejoice. Seek God, and your soul will live. For the Lord has heard the poor, and he has not despised his prisoners. Let the heavens and the earth praise him: the sea, and everything that crawls in it.

ACT OF CONTRITITION

O God, Eternal Loving Father, I am deeply sorry for having offended you by not offering my due sacrifice of praise. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance, and do not allow that I should fall into this sin ever again. From now on I shall sing your praise in my heart all day long. Amen.

9^th Day: THANKS

PRAYER OF THANKS

Psalm [100:1-5]

Shout joyfully to God, all the earth. Serve the Lord with rejoicing. Enter his presence in exultation. Know that the Lord himself is God. He made us, and we ourselves did not. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, his courts with hymns, and acknowledge him. Praise his name. For the Lord is sweet, his mercy is everlasting, and his truth is from generation to generation.

ACT OF CONTRITITION

O God, Eternal Loving Father, I am deeply sorry for having offended you with my ingratitude; for not being thankful for the blessings and gifts that you have bestowed on me. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance, and do not allow that I should fall into this sin ever again. From now on I shall acknowledge your blessings with thanks and praise. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER FOR SOULS IN PURGATORY

Have mercy, O Lord, on all the holy souls suffering in purgatory. I especially recommend to your compassionate heart the souls of those who have no one to pray for them. Amen

I pray that you mitigate their misery and shorten the time of their separation from you; call them soon to yourself in heaven, that they may behold you face to face, and forever love you. Amen.

God, Father of Mercy, satisfy this their ardent desire! Send them your holy Angel to announce to them that you, their Father, are now reconciled with them through the suffering and death of Jesus, and that the moment of their deliverance has arrived. Amen.

PRAYER FOR OUR BLESSED MOTHER’S INTERCESSION

Holy Mary, Mother of God, come to the assistance of these souls in purgatory with your powerful intercession. Amen.

PRAYER TO OUR SUFFERING SAVIOUR

[℣] O Sweet Jesus, through the bloody sweat which you shed in the Garden of Gethsemane, have mercy on these blessed souls. [℟] Have mercy on them, O Lord.

[℣] O Sweet Jesus, through the pains which you suffered during your most cruel scourging, have mercy on these blessed souls. [℟] Have mercy on them, O Lord.

[℣] O Sweet Jesus, through the pains which you did suffer in your most painful crowning with thorns, have mercy on these blessed souls. [℟] Have mercy on them, O Lord.

[℣] O Sweet Jesus, through the pains which you did suffer in carrying your cross to Calvary, have mercy on these blessed souls. [℟] Have mercy on them, O Lord.

[℣] O Sweet Jesus, through the pains which you did suffer during your most cruel Crucifixion, have mercy on these blessed souls. [℟] Have mercy on them, O Lord.

[℣] O Sweet Jesus, through the pains which you did suffer in your most bitter agony on the Cross, have mercy on these blessed souls. [℟] Have mercy on them, O Lord.

[℣] O Sweet Jesus, through the immense pain which you did suffer when breathing out your Holy Soul, have mercy on these blessed souls. [℟] Have mercy on them, O Lord.

RECOMMEND YOURSELF TO THE SOULS IN PURGATORY

Blessed Souls, I have prayed for you; I entreat you, who are so dear to God, and who are secure of never losing Him, to pray for me a miserable sinner, who is in danger of being damned, and of losing God forever. Amen.
